People ask me all the time, how did you come up with the name for your company? Is there a real Valleybrook Farm? The answer is, YES! Although it hasn't been a working farm in over half a century, the 10-acre property has been the driving inspiration behind our lives and our work for the past 14 years. Despite being only minutes from two major U.S. cities, the rolling countryside, dimpled hills, time-weathered buildings, pond and winding creek reminds us daily of the simpler things. Family, nature and the creative spirit are what brought us to this place, and it continues to bring us joy with each passing year.
A little about me...
After working for many years in publishing and media, I became a stay-at-home mother after the birth of my first child ten years ago. At the age of 15 months, my oldest son developed several serious neurological conditions of unknown origin, leaving him deaf/blind and physically disabled. After years of struggling to find a diagnosis for my son and the birth of two more children, I decided to channel my energy back into my creative pursits. Having sewn since childhood, designing custom childrens clothing was just the creative outlet I needed. I never dreamed Valleybrook Farm would take-off the way it has, and I'm thankful everyday for my incredible customers who have helped me grow this rewarding business. My aim is to make sure that my customers are 100% satisfied with their purchase and to put a little bit of the magic of Valleybrook Farm into every piece I create.
